Meet Your Next Book Boyfriend Tour: Theo Kershaw from Instacrush by Kate Meader #YourNextBBF

Welcome to Fiction Fangirls stop on the #YourNextBBF tour!! I’d like to introduce you to your next BBF, THEO (SUPERGLUTES) KERSHAW from INSTACRUSH (Rookie Rebels #2) by Kate Meader

He smelled like naughty nights and comforting arms and dumb jokes and the guy who had all the answers.

Who is Theo Kershaw:

✔️ Rookie Hockey player (Nickname: Superglutes because well….his glutes are super!! )

✔️ Instagram famous (funny, entertaining, gorgeous)

✔️ Big Heart (Has so much love to give)

✔️ Playful (Flirty)

✔️ Totally Swoonworthy

But he saw no reason why he should hide his great ass on the day before the baby Jesus was born.

What I LOVED about Theo :

He is the perfect blend of childlike, yet responsible and incredibly self-aware. He shows respect for women, especially his heroine, Elle Butler. He pays attention to other people’s feelings and needs. He’s goofy and immature at all of the right times and serious and responsible when it’s most important for him to be. He’s so full of love and isn’t afraid to show it, especially when it comes to his family! He was just literal perfection to me because he was imperfect in the most endearing ways.

“I’m not afraid of looking like I don’t understand something. There’s no shame in relying on other people.”

“A lot of people would jump at the chance to be seen with me, y’know.”
Her expression was pitying. “Poor Superglutes, aren’t you getting enough attention from your millions of Instagram followers? Is it lonely being adored by all your fans?”

“Very! All they see is this amazing body and gorgeous hair and beautiful cheekbones. Sure, I’m hilarious and great in bed, but do they appreciate it? Do you appreciate it?

Theo Kershaw is the luckiest guy alive.

Roaring back from a life-threatening injury, he has the world at his skates as defenseman for his new team, the Chicago Rebels. Everyone adores his big personality, his on-ice talent, and his killer smile. Everyone but his prickly neighbor–or so he thinks. One chilly Christmas Eve, Theo will learn that maybe the girl next door isn’t such a hater after all …

Elle Butler is the most embarrassing person on the planet.

How else can the ex-military-now-bartender explain her crush on the hot jock who lives across the hall? True, he has gorgeous green eyes and perfect cheekbones, but the filter between his brain and too-sexy mouth is permanently malfunctioning. Yet she can’t stop checking out his Instagram antics or sneaking looks at him when he’s in her bar. Absolutely mortifying. Running from a past filled with damning secrets, Elle’s determined that this guilty pleasure remains buried in her deepest fantasies.

Because she couldn’t possibly indulge with the Theo Kershaw. Or make a mistake that draws attention to her under-the-radar life. And she especially couldn’t be a mom to a pro-athlete’s baby … could she?

5 Star Quickie Review

This book is the perfect example of why I read romance. Showing how imperfect people can be perfect for each other and despite the many obstacles that life throws in your way, love will always be there to offer hope and a true chance at finding happiness within yourself as well as with someone else.

Halloween Memories
I remember, way back in the day, when I was in elementary school and we were still allowed to wear costumes. No, we weren’t just allowed, we were expected to, because if we didn’t, how could we take part in our costume parade from classroom to classroom. Hmmm…sort of like this blog hop! I also remember the cheap plastic costumes that my parents always bought for me. You know, the ones with the plastic masks and the plastic costume.
Is it weird that I miss them, that I can remember that they had a certain smell to them?
Anyways…isn’t that the best part of Halloween? The memories of the costumes and the time you spent picking just the right one for you for weeks, maybe months ahead of time. Maybe it’s the memory of the time you didn’t plan anything at all and had to come up with something last minute (this probably applies to me more often than the former). I had some pretty amazing costumes…
And apparently more than once, some pretty awful ones.
And of course and most recently, the one where I was part of a couple.
Okay, so sometimes the memories are better in my mind than on photo paper.
What’s your most memorable costume?
Creating New Halloween Memories
My daughter, Olivia, is 22 months old and this is her first Halloween where she can walk and actually enjoy the fun! My son loves Halloween. He is 4 yrs old now. For the first time last weekend, we carved pumpkins. Yeah, I’m 32 yrs old and can’t remember how young I was when I carved a pumpkin. It actually was easy and so much fun. The kids were so excited!
We took the kids to Zoo Boo for trick or treating fun and we saw some zoo animals too. The Zoo was decorated with pumpkin stations, my kids loved the Despicable Me pumpkins. Olivia’s face lit up as she ran wild through the beautiful leaves that covered the Zoo grounds. Halloween is now one of my favorite holidays along with Christmas because seeing my kids faces light up was a such a precious moment. We taught my son the famous trick or treat anthem (Trick or treat smell my feet…) and taught my daughter to say Trick or Treat. It’s not even Halloween and we’ve already had a memorable fun filled Halloween.

**TBBR BLOG HOP & SUMMER GIVEAWAY** Feat: Julie from Chapter Break

 photo BlogHop.jpg

Hello there everyone! *Waves*

My name is Julie and I’m excited to be included in this blog hop put on by the awesome Book Bloggers Resource group.

A little bit about me:

I’m blogging from somewhere in the Houston, Texas area, where I live with my hubby, my 3 fur-babies, and am expecting my first non-fur baby (eek!). I’m an engineer and work in environmental compliance by day. I would rather spend all my free time reading great books. In fact, I will need to become immortal to keep up with my to-read list.

I co-run a book blog called Chapter Break  with my very awesome friend Rose. We met in a book club that Rose started (which is super awesome so if any Houston-area readers are interested, look up YA For Adults on Meetup). We started this blog together when Rose approached me with an idea to start a book blog. So we did. It has been so much fun! I’ve gotten a chance to meet so many amazing authors and attend a bunch of events and feel “legit” by saying “I’m a blogger”.

We try to keep the blog interactive and encourage our readers to share their thoughts with us. We run a weekly discussions post called Chat Between Chapters, and our own weekly meme called That’s What He Said (where you share direct quotes from the book boyfriend). Those are probably my favorite features. I also recently started a “sharing the bookish love” post where I link to other awesome posts I’ve seen in the past week. We love to share our author experiences with our readers so we do our best to take lots of photos at author events and write fun posts.

Here are some of our favorite posts:

· Interview with Tammara Webber!! She’s hilarious and awesome, seriously.

· Our trip to Portland! OMG this trip was amazing.

· One of our recent discussion posts –what makes you follow a blog. Very insightful comments.

· And our blogoversary post, because of that little clip from Colleen Hoover!
